Jacobs Allen new accreditation from the Civil Aviation Authority

Jacobs Allen has was won accreditation from the Civil Aviation Authority, allowing them to report on the returns submitted to the CAA by ATOL-registered travel agents.

As part of our ongoing commitment as chartered accountants to offer our customers a professional and complete service, a number of members of our team have undergone training to ensure we meet new standards set out by the CAA.

Under new rulings introduced in April, the CAA has stated that ATOL registered travel agents must have their ATOL returns signed off by licensed accountants.

Keith Senior, a director in the firm, said: “It is just another element of the ongoing training that we as chartered accountants undergo.

He added: “This cements the commitment we give to achieve our high practice standards.”

The CAA has strengthened their compliance to give customers more confidence that the holiday they are booking is covered should something go wrong.

“It means that if you book a flight, or a holiday with flights, through an ATOL registered travel agent and something were to happen, that there are systems in place to get you repatriated,” said Mr Senior.

“This is particularly important at times like this when there is an added element of uncertainty about.”
