Jacobs Allen 2018 ‘Test the Town’ Quiz Runners-up

This year was tinged with deep sadness at the death of our friend and colleague, Gennie Swane, who died suddenly at the age of 51. Gennie had been a long-standing member of our Quiz Team and was always the first to volunteer whenever we asked for quizzers to take part. She is greatly missed by everyone who knew her, a very kind, intelligent and a thoroughly reliable lady.

Bury Abbey Rotary paid tribute to Gennie at this year’s opening of the quiz. Her absence was deeply felt this year but we were so proud to come second. We were still the best Accountants and beat our competition by miles! West Suffolk College, who went on to win the trophy, played a cracking quiz and congratulations to them.

We led all the way but were pipped at the post in the final round! We’re already in training for 2019.
